Dominic Leonard: No Dark Pastoral

No Dark Pastoral

the sunlight was
different then it
swayed in stalks
like beautiful
blinking sisters
cloaked round in
Eros Eros Eros
I laid the knots of
light down piece
by piece into a
circle there is no
mist-flown field
no great holy
pond of black winds
just the last juice of
March draining
off the board
all my dreams are
wearing bright ugly
waistcoats & it is
spring almost definitely
